Pretty'd Up Ltd ("we", "us") is the data controller for personal information collected through prettydup.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have. Last updated 27 September 2026.

What we collect

When you order: your name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number if you give one, and what you bought. Your card details are handled directly by our payment provider — we never see or store them.

When you browse: your IP address, browser and device type, and pages you visited, through cookies and similar technologies.

When you sign up to emails: your email address.

When you contact us: whatever you put in your message, plus your email address.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the companies that make the shop work:

Shopify — hosts our store and processes orders on our behalf
Payment providers — to take payment securely
Delivery carriers — your name and address, so they can deliver
Email provider — if you've opted into marketing

Some of these providers operate outside the UK. Where data leaves the UK, it's protected by an adequacy decision or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Order and transaction records: 7 years, as tax law requires. Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe, then we keep a record of the opt-out so we don't email you again. Enquiries: 2 years. Website analytics: 26 months.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correct anything inaccurate
Delete your data, where we have no continuing legal reason to keep it
Restrict or object to how we use it
Transfer it to another provider
Stop sending marketing — instantly, via the unsubscribe link in any email

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. That doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work — keeping your bag, remembering you're logged in, securing checkout. These don't need consent. We also use cookies that help us understand how the site is used, and these only run if you agree. You can change your mind at any time through your browser settings or our cookie banner.

Children

Our store isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
